WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS

We all know how frustrating slow dial up internet service providers (ISP) can be. Poor ISP service often results in delays when surfing for valuable information or conducting your business in cyberspace. For areas where it is difficult to get broadband cable or DSL, or for people who travel a lot, wireless internet access is the best option for high-speed ISP access.

The range of a wireless internet service is generally limited to approximately 1,000 feet from a local wireless access node which are typically found at wireless “hotspots”  like airports, cafes, hotels, and the like which means that although wireless internet access is not available everywhere, it is usually available in places where you will most likely be needing it.

BLUETOOTH

A Bluetooth connection is an automatic and wireless connection. Computers, telephones or entertainment systems as individual pieces and parts of systems making up a community of electronic devices communicate with each other using a variety of ways such as cables, wires, radio signals, infrared beams and a variety of plugs, connectors and protocols. Bluetooth is a standard which allows any kind of electronic equipment (from computers, cell phones, keyboards, headphones, etc) to make its own connections without having to use cables, wires, or any other direct action from a user by connecting to a local area network, therefore removing the need for user intervention.

WIFI

Wi-Fi is short for wireless fidelity and is the generic term used to refer to any type of 802.11 network whether 802.11a, 802.11b, dual band, etc.

Products which are approved as “Wi-Fi Certified” are qualified to be interoperable with each other, even though they may be from different manufacturers. A user can use any “Wi=Fi Certified” product of any brand as an “access point” and another product with any other brand of client hardware which is also certified.
