Mac OS X Leopard
Most computer users have developed a favourite operating system, Windows or Mac, but how do they compare?
- For ease of use, most users recommend the Mac OS. Its simplicity and stability are considered superior to Windows, even for the novice.
- Graphics, design and movies are considered to be better on a Mac. Windows is traditionally better for business use but both platforms are capable of both functions.
- Many programs will only work on one platform or the other. You can install a program to allow your Mac to run Windows based software, however it will run slower.
- Windows is more vulnerable to virus and spyware attack as most viruses are written specifically for PCs and cannot run on the Mac OS.
- As both the hardware and operating system on an Apple Mac are designed by Apple, there is an integrity and unification between them, resulting in the two aspects being perfectly allied together.
